The Fiji National Provident Fund has introduced a new bill payment system that will make it easier and convenient for its key stakeholders to make contribution payments online.
The new service allows:
- Employers to pay their FNPF contributions;
- And voluntary members to deposit their funds to their FNPF account.
This means that employers and members will no longer need to physically visit FNPF offices to make their monthly payments.
Chief Operating Officer Jaoji Koroi said this new service is part of the Fund’s digital strategy to lift standards and provide convenient and fast services.
“The Fund is mindful that we need to continually upgrade and improve our service standards. This is just one of the many initiatives to assist in the collection of contributions,” he said.
When accessing the service for the first time, employers and members must set up a secure online account. This will allow them to make recurring payments to FNPF – similar to any online bill service provider.
Currently, employers who have signed up for the Employers Online Portal are able to submit their contribution schedule via the portal.
After the contribution details are verified by FNPF, employers are issued an invoice which allows them to make payments at any FNPF office.
The new bill payment system now allows employers to pay online. To ensure a smooth process, employers must provide their employer reference number and invoice number.
Voluntary members wishing to access the service, must have an open and valid FNPF account. They will have to quote their FNPF number and first name when paying their contributions.
FNPF has partnered with commercial banks to deliver this service. All transactions will be recorded in FNPF’s bank statement. The service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
