The Fiji National Provident Fund will introduce a Short Message Services (SMS) alert to notify members of the successful processing of payment for their withdrawal applications.
This new free service will see the Fund push out the SMS to members on the three local networks – Vodafone, Inkk and Digicel.
“As part of the Fund’s Go Digital strategy, we are exploring all technology platforms to enhance accessibility and improve services to our members,” said Mr Jaoji Koroi, FNPF’s Chief Operating Officer.
“We believe that this new free service will ease the engagement process for our members as they no longer have to follow up on their payment with us.”
To access the free service, Members will need to ensure their mobile phone number is registered when they put in their withdrawal application. Once a member’s withdrawal application payment is processed, FNPF will send a text message to the member.
FNPF currently offers three channels for members to check their account without having to visit our offices. These are:
i. MyFNPF Mobile App
ii. MyFNPF Member Self Service Portal
iii. MyFund *567# Service
“These services empower our members to directly access their accounts details, at their convenience,” said Mr. Koroi.
“Members don’t have to be registered users of these three digital channels to enjoy the new SMS alert service. They just need to ensure their correct mobile phone number is registered with us because that is the number we will use to notify them about their payments.”
This service will also be provided to overseas numbers, for those members applying from abroad.
