Registering as a voluntary member with the Fiji National Provident Fund has been made easier through the myFNPF mobile App.
The upgraded App now allows individuals to register as Voluntary Members, including the registration of minor accounts, aged 6 years and above.
Chief Executive Officer Jaoji Koroi said this was another step towards digitizing service capabilities for members.
“We’ve had a lot of interest and registration for voluntary membership ever since we extended it to minors in February. To ease the registration process, we’ve enabled it on the myFNPF App so that parents or guardians of minors or even adults interested in signing up, can do so through the App.”
“Our digital services are about providing access to members, pensioners and employers. We are living in a digital age, where customers expect products and services to be delivered through digital platforms. This is important to the Fund and is one of our strategic priorities”
“The provision of digital services empowers our members and removes the need for them to visit any of our offices, allowing them to carry out their retirement savings business from the comfort of their homes, offices or wherever they are.Members will also save time and money in the process”.
The Fund is currently working on enabling payments through the myFNPF App, which will allow voluntary members to pay their contributions via their phones.
“The myFNPF App is a safe and secure way of monitoring your retirement savings. It’s also an easy and convenient way to plan your retirement.”
“By giving members’ that access, they will be able to plan their retirement better to ensure their savings will afford them a comfortable life.”
The myFNPF App currently has 22,000 active users.
To register as a voluntary member through the myFNPF App, individuals must ensure they have their birth certificate, valid photo ID, passport details (if living overseas), citizenry certificate (if not a Fijian National) and a valid email address.
For minor members (6-18 years old), the administrator must also provide their birth certificate and their valid email address.
