FNPF and Home & Living finalise lease agreement

The Fiji National Provident Fund and Vinod Patel & Company Pte Limited signed a lease agreement today establishing its Home & Living Division as one of the anchor tenants for the myFNPF Centre, Nadi.

Home & Living is a retail consumer business with multiple locations across Fiji providing an extensive range of home and office furniture, technology, home entertainment, white goods and kitchen appliances and outdoor sports.

The Vinod Patel Home & Living brand is expected to be a drawcard for the newly built Fundowned complex, bringing in its own mix of clientele.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Viliame Vodonaivalu said the Fund was excited to have Vinod Patel Home & Living Division as one of the key tenants at its new building and looked forward to building on the business/commercial relationship.

“The myFNPF Centre in Nadi is shaping out to be a one-stop shop for consumers and the Fund has been working on securing a good mix of retail companies that would offer that ultimate shopping experience under one roof.”

“It is indeed a pleasure to be working with the Vinod Patel Home & Living group and we are confident that as a renowned company, it brings with it its loyal customers which would in turn, provide a competitive edge for other businesses that have leased space at the complex.”

“The Fund is delighted that the complex will be opening soon for business and members will be able to experience a different level of retail shopping,” said Mr. Vodonaivalu.

Vinod Patel Chief Executive Officer Rahul Amin, said the myFNPF Centre in Nadi is an ideal combination of prime location and timing for the Company and an ideal alignment with its strategic objectives.

“This is our 13th Home & Living Store which will employ at least 20 people and expect to open our doors to the great people of Nadi by the end of April.”

Also present at the signing was Ronald Narayan, the Acting General Manager of Home & Living who said “We know not everyone in Nadi and the neighboring areas have the luxury of travelling to our Namaka store. Re-opening in Nadi town and bringing our convenience and comfort shopping experience to our customers was a natural thing to do. Our Nadi customers can expect our usual great deals and best brands”

The myFNPF Centre is one of the many Fund-owned properties, which will offer a first ever shopping mall-like experience for the public in Nadi. The 3-storey complex boasts retail and office space, as well as a food court.

Tenants are finalizing their shop fittings and are expected to begin operating from the second quarter of 2021.

The proposed opening hours for the complex will be from 9am to 9pm.
