Members who missed the first round of the Lockdown Round 2 payment last week, will receive their funds tomorrow.
These members had submitted their applications before the deadline – 11 June, however, issues were encountered which contributed to the delay in their payments.
Fiji National Provident Fund Acting Chief Executive Officer Viliame Vodonaivalu said it was unfortunate that these members relief funds could not be paid on time, however, the Fund was rectifying the situation.
“There were some issues encountered with the processing of these applications which led to the delay in payments. We sincerely apologise and assure members that we will do better for future payments.”
“We also have members who applied for Phase 2 Round 6 before 11 June, that also did not receive their first payment last week. Our team are unable to process these members’ payments this week but will instead ensure that they are paid in the next payment cycle on Tuesday 29 June.”
“We sincerely apologize to our members and ask that they bear with us while we manage these challenges arising from the administration of multiple relief phases.”
“These Phase 2 Round 6 members will receive $440 which is the total amount payable.”
Application submission dates
Members who wish to access the active COVID-19 relief phases, are encouraged to submit their applications before the next cut-off date this week in order to be included in next week’s payments.
The next payment for Phase 3 Round 5 is scheduled for Thursday 24 June, while the Phase 2 Round 6 and Lockdown Round 2 payments are on Tuesday 29 June.
Phase 4 Round 3 and the Voluntary member’s relief application deadlines are on 30 June 2021.
“We are currently reviewing these phases and are monitoring the resumption of business, in line with national efforts to contain the health pandemic, while at the same time, returning to some form of normalcy,” said Mr. Vodonaivalu.
The Fund is partnering with Government for Phase 2, Phase 3 and the Lockdown Round 2 relief.
Cut off dates for the next payment are as follows:
