MyFNPF App enhanced for members’ convenience

Fiji National Provident Fund’s mobile application – the myFNPF App, has undergone enhancements that now allows members to grow their balance or help others save for retirement, anytime and anywhere.

The myFNPF App’s new features allows members to make additional contributions for themselves or others, pay for voluntary contributions, register voluntary members and even submit funeral withdrawal applications.

Members can now make payments on the app through M-PAiSA or through BSP’s Easy, Visa Debit and Credit cards, as well as other bank’s Visa cards.

The enhancement means that members do not have to visit FNPF offices to make payments but still experience the same level of service at their convenience.

“The new developments are on par with our ongoing transition to digitize our services for our members’ benefit. These new features take retirement savings to a new level – enabling our members to grow their savings or help their loved ones boost their retirement savings,” said FNPF Chief Executive Officer Viliame Vodonaivalu.

“We continue to activate withdrawal applications submissions through the myFNPF App, with the latest being funeral withdrawals, which is one of the most accessed withdrawal grounds. Members can now submit applications as well as the Advice of Death through the App.”

“The feedback that our members give us about our services are valuable because it allows us to seek ways to improve, keeping convenience and security at the core.”

“Contribution payments are captured in ‘real-time’ so payments will be reflected in members’ accounts as soon as the transaction is completed. We acknowledge BSP and Vodafone for partnering with us and allowing us access to their payment gateway for the benefit of our members.”

“The enhancements also allows members to register new voluntary members, however, it is important that the required information is ready, prior to submitting an application on the myFNPF App.”

“All these efforts are aimed at allowing members greater access to their FNPF account information so that they are able to make informed decisions about their immediate or retirement plans,” said Mr Vodonaivalu.

There are no charges or fees for contribution payments done through BSP’s easy card and visa debit card, however, a 2.5% transaction charge is incurred for payments via BSP credit card and other banks visa cards.

The new features went live at the end of June 2022.
