As an employer, paying FNPF is a significant part of your responsibilities with your monthly contributions forming an essential part of your employee’s retirement savings. FNPF contributions is one of the biggest investments for your employees during their working life to give them a better retirement. 

The role of an employer is one that is critical as your monthly contributions provides employees the opportunity to have a comfortable life when they retire.

In ensuring you adhere and meet your obligation as an employer, safeguards our members with an income when they retire at the age of 55.

Who is an Employer?

Any business operating in Fiji and involved in hiring employees with a written or verbal contract or agreement of employment in place between the employer and the employee.

This also applies to a vessel or aircraft owners.

Register with FNPF?

How do I register?

You need to download the form or get this from any of our Customer Service center.

  1. Download and complete our Employer Registration form
  2. Submit the form with all the required documents at any FNPF office nearest to you.
  3. Once you have been registered, a unique employer reference number issued.

Which individuals do I register?

Employers must register their new employees, who are not already members and are 15 years or above.

You have to do this by completing the Registration of Employee Form

Employees’ contributions are payable on a monthly basis.

What do I pay?

The current compulsory contribution rate is 14% (effective 1 January 2023).  It is calculated as 14% of total wages earned – inclusive of cents.

Employers and employees contribute 7% each. Some employers are paying more than the mandated amount (7%) as additional contributions for their staff, to boost their retirement savings.

  • Certified copy of Business Registration Certificate
  • Certified copy of Proprietor’s Passport/ Driver’s License
  • Certified true copy of Proprietor’s Birth Certificate (post 2000 version Local Owner)
  • Certified copy of Valid Business License
  • Certified copy of Joint ID card
  • Certified copy of TIN Letter
    One copy of Proprietor’s Utility Bill, showing residential address

Payment mode

  1. You must ensure that your contribution schedule for that month is approved.
  2. Once it has been approved, you can generate the invoice from your online account.
  3. Present the invoice at any of our Cashiers at our FNPF office.
  4. If you have an online banking facility, you can make a bank to bank transfer. You can download our bank account details below.
