The Fiji National Provident Fund is seeking to engage joint venture partners to begin works on revamping the Grand Pacific Hotel to a four to five star international brand heritage, which is estimated to cost $50million.

THE Fiji National Provident Fund Board says it will ensure an amicable resolution is reached over unresolved salary issues it has with its workforce, who are members of the Fiji Bank Employees Union.

The FNPF Board has declared an interest rate of 6.50% to be credited to member accounts on 30 June 2006, up from 6.25% in 2005.

Hotel to be redeveloped and re-branded Grand Pacific Crowne Plaza Suva.

InterContinental Hotels Group has been awarded the management contract for the ‘Raffles of the Pacific’, Fiji’s Grand Pacific Hotel Suva which, after an extensive development and expansion programme, will be re-branded Grand Pacific Crowne Plaza Suva.

All voluntary members of the Fiji National Provident Fund can now make their payments at selected post offices around Fiji in a new joint service provided by the FNPF and Post Fiji.
